Established in 2016, the Adelaide University Economics Students' Society (AUESS) is the representative organisation for Economics students at the University of Adelaide. We exist to provide a platform for anyone studying or simply interested in Economics to socialise, debate, learn, and network, and we welcome students from any discipline who are interested in developing and furthering their understanding of Economics!

Throughout the academic year, the AUESS facilitates a variety of educational, professional, and social events, aimed to help our members to develop their professional skills, meet and network with industry members and employers, and get to know their fellow students here at the University. Our events in the past have included lectures from prominent academics such as Professor Geoff Harcourt, Professor Prue Kerr, Steven Hail, and Stephanie Kelton, networking and career nights with employers such as Deloitte Access Economics, PwC, EY, the RBA, and BDO, and social events like our annual Budget Night and Wine Tour. We are also connected with the South Australian branch of the Women in Economics Network, and work with them to provide empowering events for female-identifying students.

The AUESS additionally contributes student-written Economics articles toward the University of Adelaide's student magazine, On Dit, providing students with the opportunity to become published authors. We also run our own AUESS blog, and are always taking article submissions from students. Through our publications, we hope to make Economics accessible to all students, regardless of their academic backgrounds.
